Re-imagining Family Justice
In January, the University of Calgary established the Centre for Transformation with support from the Alberta Law Foundation. This bold new initiative aims to create lasting, meaningful change in Alberta’s family justice system—shifting from an adversarial legal model to one that builds resiliency and supports family well-being.
As a unique partnership between the Faculties of Social Work and Law, the Centre will collaborate across sectors and systems to generate new knowledge, test promising practices, and translate research into action.
We’re pleased to invite you to a stakeholder consultation to help shape the Centre’s strategic direction. This gathering will bring together leaders and practitioners from justice, health, child welfare, education, law enforcement, government, social services, non-profits, foundations, and civil society.
Join us to:
• Learn more about the vision and goals of the Centre for Transformation
• Share your expertise and insights to guide its development
• Explore future opportunities for engagement and collaboration
